Change Isn’t Good…It’s GREAT!

Many of you are aware that I took this school year off.  The mental break was
well worth it.  It has been a priceless experience that was much needed.  When
I least expected it, an opportunity presented itself.  The opportunity was the kind
that couldn’t be turned down.  And don’t worry, I didn’t turn it down.  😉

I’m excited to share my special and exciting news:

I’m going back to work and I’m moving back to 1st grade!!!

I can’t be more excited!  The majority of my teaching experience is in first.
First grade captured my heart from day one of my teaching career and I’m
thrilled to go back!  Three years in third grade…an interesting adventure
and a true learning experience.

I will be starting a new blog called “Prepping for the Primary Gridiron.”
I will leave 3rd Grade Gridiron up and “alive.”  🙂  It’s a great library of resources
and I want any and all of my 3rd grade friends to have access to everything!

What will remain the same:

– 3rd Grade Gridiron blog
– 3rd Grade Gridiron FB page
– 3rd Grade Gridiron Bloglovin’ account
– my Pinterest account
– my Instagram account

What will change/be created:

– new Prepping for the Primary Gridiron blog
– Primary Gridiron FB page
– Primary Gridiron Bloglovin’ account

On another note, the 3rd Grade Gridiron newsletter will be discontinued.   🙁
I’ve enjoyed sharing exclusive freebies with you guys.  As of now, I do not
plan on doing a 1st grade newsletter.  I really want to focus 100% of my attention
to getting back into the 1st grade curriculum and giving my all to my students.

I love you all and have enjoyed every second of our journey together!  Feel free to
stop by the new blog to see what I’m working on (over the summer) to prep my
new room or (once fall gets here) to see what me and the kiddos are up to!

I am so happy for you. I was moved to third grade two years ago, from a lower grade. I still haven’t developed a love for third grade. I have depended on your blog for ideas, I will certainly miss your ideas!

Aww, Deb. Thanks! It’s interesting how a teacher’s heart knows it’s correct place. I will still share 3rd grade ideas on the 3rd Grade Gridiron FB page, so hopefully you can use some of them!

Congrats! Having moved from K to 3rd two years ago, I was elated when I found your products and blog. You are an amazing, talented teacher. I am trying to determine whether I will stay in 3rd, or move to first. This is proving to be a very difficult choice. This has been the most challenging year of my career and I don’t want to make a decision based on desperation. I would really appreciate any advice you might be able to offer. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Can’t wait to see all of your new ideas!

Aww, Kathryn. Thanks! For me, it was an easy choice because my heart is in 1st. I like 3rd and can do it, but I truly LOVE first! Good luck with making your decision.

Oh wow, I love your third grade blog and was so surprised to see on IG that you’re moving to first because I am too! I taught fourth for nearly ten years and it was NOT my choice to move. I’m glad you’re excited though, and it is nice to see a “familiar face” that I can follow for advice. 🙂
