I'm SO glad I spent the time to make these anchor charts!!! I put the notebook together Wednesday night and showed it to the kids Thursday!
They are in LOVE!
Here are some pics of the setup:
I printed each section on a different color paper.
I put them back-to-back in sheet protectors (so it wouldn't be too thick).
I also labeled each section.
Here's a side view of the colors and tabs.
And of course Maggie had to get in on the action!
And if you like the cover of the anchor chart, you can snag it for free!
Just click the picture below. :)
Thanks for KPM Doodles for such adorable clip art!!!
Here's a link to the anchor chart set in case you missed it the first time around. :)

What a great idea! We used to have a lot more display space (we hung things on wires on the ceiling, hooks and on the blinds), but last year, the fire marshal cracked down, and we lost a lot of display space for the charts. I like the idea of having copies in a central reference notebook. Thanks for sharing, and for the freebie. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI understand about the fire marshall... :(.
DeleteI love this idea! We have a poster printer in our district so I could print out a poster size and a scaled down size for the notebook. The coloring coding is brilliant! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Louise! :)
DeleteFantastic idea! I sometimes feel so cluttered in my classroom because of all the anchor charts! This would be a great space saver and reference for kiddos to look back on! Thanks for sharing!

Me too, Amy! Gotta have those space savers!
DeleteGreat idea!! I tried something similar but my students didn't use it (sniff sniff) but I may not have pumped it up like I should have! You sound like me! Everything has to be color coded and in the right place to stay organized! Thanks for sharing your idea!!

I just introduced it yesterday, but they have used it several times since. They seem very excited about it and are very appreciative that I compiled all of these. :)

Super idea!! I like what you did! Last year, I took photos of all our charts and kept them in a photo album. Not as cool as yours ;)
