Mental Math, Government, and a FREEBIE!

Oh, Tuesday.  My day full of meetings, school, and Math Endorsement class.  Do you ever wonder how you can juggle it all?!  And those of you who have children of your own, BLESS YOU!  I definitely don't know how you do it!  You're super moms and dads!

I spent the past couple of days working on things that I knew my kids would get a lot of use out of.  I wanted to share them with you as well.

The first is this Mental Math game.  It's set one of five.  My kids play this everytime they leave Math specials.  They love it AND it's fabulous practice for all the different operations.  This set is the easiest of the five.  It includes addition, subtraction, and multiplication (by 0, 1, and 2).  Click the picture to check it out!
The second activity is an activities and assessment pack about our national government.  This is our current SS unit and I wanted more activities for my kids.  It's always great to have a variety of resources for them to participate in.  Click the picture to check it out!
And here's an extra version of a government vocab flipbook I made.
Click the picture below to snag it for free!  :)
What are you teaching in social studies right now?!

  3. We played your mental math game in class today. The kids loved it! I loved the look they had on their faces as they were concentrating really hard to get the answers first. It's such a great idea to give the kids who are sitting the opportunity to "steal." It kept them interested in the game, and it kept them doing math the whole time. Thanks!
