We had soooooo much fun in DC!!! And Memorial Day was the perfect time to go! For those of you who have never been: book your flight, pack your walking shoes and sunscreen, and soak up all the city has to offer!
Here are a few pics (out of about 100) of the things we did!
Memorial Day parade!
Memorial Day concert at the Capital Building (but we had to leave due to a severe weather warning) :(
Me and the hubs at the Washington Monument
The Lincoln Memorial

Awesome, Stephanie! Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend!
Looks like you had a good time. I am going there at the end of the month for the NEA conference. Do you have any recommendations???
Every New Beginning
It depends on what part of town you're staying in and how much free time you have to explore.
I would recommend everything listed above! We also went to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing…short tour but really cool to see. You have to go to the ticket booth to get same day tickets, but they have tons of times available. There are SO many great eating places as well! Pot Bellys, Old Ebbitt Grill, Circa at Dupont Circle…I could go on for days! Have fun while you're there!
Just found your blog and am your newest follower! I was on Laura Candler's blog and saw a link for yours..recognized your name from TPT so I came by to take a look!

went to Washington a few years ago…so much fun! You must come from a sports nut family
with your sis being a sports caster and you with the football …love.
Hope you are enjoying a break from the fast paced Gwinnett teacher life! I know I am.
~Molly
We're not really a "sports nut family," but have always been big on football. My sister is really good at almost any sport! She understands everything about any sport. For example, tennis. I can't understand the scoring for the life of me, but she can. And she can actually play the sport. Me, I'm knocking balls clear out of the court!
And yes, this break is SO nice. Glad you're enjoying it as well.
