How many of you have an interactive whiteboard?! Whether it's Mimio, SMART Board, Promethean, or whatever else is out there...I'm curious!
I currently have the Mimio and I L-O-V-E it!!! It makes things so much more fun! You can put in reveal boxes or play Jeopardy-style games. The kids are so hooked! One of our Math centers is the Mimio and they love to play games from CoolMath.com! There's also a great site to find tons of Mimio lessons already put together! Click HERE to check out MimioConnect!

I truly hope those of you who have this technology utilize it (the best way you know how!). And if you're having trouble, ask a teacher buddy! I know the "tech lady" at my school has Mimio classes after school once or twice a month.
I used Mimio for the last five years. Then,I went to a technology convention and won a SMARTboard so now I use that. I am so glad that they are compatible because I use my mimioPad and mimioVote system with my Smartboard. Absolutely love it.

I believe I have the same model that you do! My firsties and I are totally hooked on it...are your kids as addicted to coolmath.com as mine? Our district pays for several really good programs, but they much rather pull that up (or abcya.com) and use it every chance they get! We use it in work stations too. I LOVE mimioconnect too...my goal is to bring that little dongle home and create some activities of my own. I'm totally hooked on it!
ReplyDeleteI have a Mimeo system and am getting the clickers. I want to use the Mimeo but I have only gotten 1 lesson. That would be awesome if there were Mimeo workshoops in my district- that way I could really become proficient. When I have used it - the kids love it but it seems to take so much time. My goal this summer is to spend time just experimenting and playing with it. Any suggestions on how to learn about it on my own?

I have a Promethean but don't find it to be as student friendly - my 3rd grade students have a hard time making the pen work for them.
