I just finished my fractions unit! I have some resources, but knew I needed more to make sure my kids had a good grasp on the concept. It's 30 pages with eight centers and covers the following skills:
- identifying parts of a group
- comparing fractions (with like numerators)
- comparing fractions (with like denominators)
- ordering fractions (from least to greatest)
- adding fractions (with like denominators)
- subtracting fractions (with like denominators)
- equivalent fractions
- fractional parts of a set
- word problems
There's also an answer key for each activity!
And now for the giveaway! Ten lucky winners can snag this unit for FREE! All you have to do is leave a comment telling me you're a follower, what your favorite color is, or who you think will end up in the Super Bowl...any nice little comment will do. :) I'll use the random generator to pick the ten winners tomorrow at noon (eastern time) and post the winners then. Good luck to everyone!

Hi Dana,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway!
Would be psyched to win!
Love following your blog! Subscribe by email too, and enjoy reading your posts in my email every day.
Regarding the Super Bowl, like the commercials generally more than either team playing...loved the VW one last year with the little boy as Darth Vader.
For colors, kind of depends on the day / season / mood, but usually chartreuse green is one of my top favs.
Colleen:)
I am new follower! Love all of your cute ideas! My favorite color is blue! Hoping the NY Giants win as I am from New York!

ReplyDeleteI am a faithful follower who LOVES your upbeat approach to teaching! Thanks for always adding a 'light' angle to all you share! Anyway, I love all colors but lean toward loving ORANGE best. As for the Super Bowl, I am a hopeful TEXAN fan who's feeling optimistic that we'll be watching the TEXANS tromp all over the Packers. OK, this might just be a problems for me.....longtime Packer fan (my roots) vs my 'location transplant' loyalties! Anyway, I am very hopeful that your random generator finds favor with my comment number! Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower and email subscriber. I'm an Eagles fan who is disappointed in her team this year. I suppose I'm rooting for the Patriots or Green Bay to win the Super Bowl. I am definitely NOT rooting for the Steelers or Dallas. Enough of those pompous teams already. :)
