Party It Up! (Writing/Read Aloud Idea)

We worked on a personal narrative today during Writer's Workshop.  I started by reading the first few pages of this adorable book:

We then created a list of the different types of parties.  I had no idea there were so many!

Next, we chose a party from the list and made a web using our ideas.

Finally, we were able to write our stories.  The kids had a blast getting to tell all about their experiences and good times with family and friends!
